Counselors

Janet Warrington is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) working in the counseling profession since 1999. She received her bachelors from the University of West Georgia & her Masters from The West Georgia School of Professional Psychology. Janet has worked with teens and families the majority of her career in counseling, in group counseling as well as intensive individual & family therapy. Janet primarily utilizes an eclectic blend of spiritual based counseling that pulls heavily from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), & traditional psychotherapy. She also practices counseling from a Rogerian  perspective that focuses on being self aware, genuine, & authentic with clients & most importantly, unconditional positive regard. Janet has many years of success with clients with complex trauma, depression, anxiety, moderate to severe behavioral issues, suicidal ideation, & self harming. She is currently contracted with two school systems in the Carrollton area working with teens in school. She also continues to work with teens, children, adults, parents & families in their homes.
